Funeral service for Willie Jeanette &8220;Sis&8221; Byrd Payne, age 71, of Calera, was held at 7 p.m., Monday, June

18, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with Rev. Ricky Smith officiating. Burial will in Elliottsville Cemetery on Tuesday. Visitation will be Monday from 6-7 p.m., prior to the service.

Mrs. Payne, who passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007, at her home, was born on August 16, 1935 in Siluria.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl David Payne, sons, Robert Earl and David Randy Payne.

She is survived by daughter, Teressa

(Gerald) Conner of Goodsprings; three granddaughters and one grandson; sisters, Thelma (Billy) Massey of Maylene, Mary Ruth (Ray) Melton of Pascagoula, Miss.; brothers, Charles (Geneva) Byrd and Donald Byrd all of Shelby, Hershal (Nora) Byrd of Jemison
