Funeral service for Joseph D. Cox, age 74, of Columbiana, was at

2:00 PM,

Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with Rev. Calvin Shaw officiating. Burial followed in Dargin Cemetery. Visitation was 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to service.

Mr. Cox, who passed away on Friday, June 22, 2007, at a local hospital, was born on August 6, 1932 in Helena, Alabama. Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his parents, Tullus and Winifred Cox; wife, Mary &8220;Kitty&8221; Cox; and great grandson, Jackson Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Cox; children, Gail Thomas, Mike (Jane) Cox, Joel Cox, and Peggy Hutto; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grand children; step children, Kenneth (Angie) Green, Connie Baxter, Denise Sammons and Leslie (Alan) George; sister, Naomi Reynolds; and brother, Paul Cox
