Hal Brown was recently named the new head golf professional at Ballantrae Golf Club in Pelham. Brown, who has served as an assistant pro at the course for three years, fills the vacancy left by Phillip Wright, who resigned to take the position of general manager and director of golf at Pelican Point in Baton Rouge, La.

In a recent letter to club members and staff, Ballantrae general manager Butch Byrd said Brown&8217;s experiences on staff &8220;have given him the skills to make Ballantrae the best public golf course in the region.&8221;
