Keane Key Benson, 17, of Columbiana passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Columbiana. He was a student at Shelby Academy, a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster and an employee of Texas Steak Road House.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Keane Benson Fund, P.O. Box 1966 Alabaster, AL 35007 and make checks to Kristy Belcher.

Visitation was held Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco&8217;s Funeral Home. The funeral service was Friday, July 6, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel at Rockco&8217;s Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Crumpton presiding. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.

Benson is survived by his mother, Kristy Belcher; his step-father, Kip Belcher; his father, Kristopher Benson; his sister, Kamiron Belcher; his brother, Kody Benson; grandparents, Donald and Shelba Benson, Donna Walker and Virgil Kitson; and great grandmothers, Mary Ellen Benson and Cora F. Kitson
