During the 18 years I have served on the Board, we have made many significant improvements in the Shelby County schools. Through the wise use of funds, we have been able to build numerous new schools, implement numerous programs, which are not provided in many Alabama schools, and create a system that attracts outstanding personnel. Shelby County is now recognized as the number one county school system in the state, but there is still room for improvement. I believe I have the background, experience and knowledge that will enable me to play a leading role in achieving that continued improvement
