As a legislator for 19 years, I promoted a pro-family and pro-jobs agenda. I sponsored several bills that are now Alabama law, including banning partial-birth abortion; allowing time in schools for silent prayer; banning same-sex marriages and prohibiting activist judges from imposing taxes through court order. I voted against every effort to increase taxes on Alabama families. I will take my experience to the Public Service Commission to fight for working Alabama families. I will work to keep utility bills low, allow more citizens input at PSC hearings and investigate out-of-state oil giants for possible price gouging
