Dream Makers Dance Company wins top honors

Performers from Dream Makers Dance Company, located in Columbiana, received top honors at the North American Country and Gospel Music Hall of Fame Week held in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Three of the dance company’s group’s brought home awards including the Dixie Belles clogging team, the Dixie Stompers and the Dixie Stars. Peyton Dunnaway won vocalist awards and dancers Nikki Farish, Harley Chapin and Brooke O’Shields won soloist awards.

At the Stars of Tomorrow competition at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center the Dixie Belles and Stompers both received gold medals. Harley Chapin received a gold medal for her solo performance while Nikki Farish received a silver medal. The Dixie Belles were selected as second place in the Southeast Region championships
