JEMISON – Montevallo resident Mary English and Calera resident Philip Kelce each captured top three finishes recently at the third annual Gene Ray Memorial Rodeo in Jemison.

English posted a breakaway roping time of 3.7 seconds to earn her a third place finish and $467.36. She is currently 10th in the Professional Cowboys Association Rodeo breakaway roping standings.

Kelce, currently ranked fourth as a team roping heeler, placed second with Kaston Peavy and fourth place with Judah Fleming to win a combined total of $1,157.18
