Daniel Ray Altman

Mr. Daniel Ray Aultman, age 57, of Alabaster died Friday, July 27, 2007, at UAB Hospital. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday at Alabaster Church of God with burial in Morgan Cemetery in Sumiton. The Rev. Robert Barnes officiated. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Alabaster Church of God. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton handled arrangements on behalf of the Aultman family.

Mr. Aultman was an active member of Alabaster Church of God. He served as President of the Men’s Fellowship, Benevolence Director, a member of the Pastor’s Council and was the church’s handyman extraordinaire.

He is survived by his wife, Dalphia Aultman of Alabaster; sons, Jonathan Aultman and wife, Sonja of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Tom Aultman and wife, Renae of Alabaster; daughter, Amy Jones and husband, Sam of Montevallo; grandchildren, Brady, Ceili, Bailey, Samuel, Danielle, Peter, Baby Jones, Heather and Jennifer; sisters, Judy Chapman and husband, Bill of West Blocton, and Elaine Taylor and husband, Stanley of Woodstock; brother, Joe Aultman and wife, Bobbie of Indian Springs; mother-in-law, Reva Hornsby of West Chester, Ohio; dear friend, Jim Dodge of West Chester, Ohio; step mother-in-law, Alex Porter and husband, Jack of Harrison, Ga; brother-in-law, Rob Porter of Alabaster; sisters-in-law, Tonya Shelton and husband, Mark of Alabaster, and Cheryl Mehta and husband, Chris of California; brothers-in-law, Bill Porter and wife, Cindy of Savannah, Ga., and Ed Porter and wife, Susan of Harrison, Ga.; and a host of nieces and nephews
