County launches emergency conservation program

The Talladega/Shelby County Farm Service Agency (FSA) office will accept applications for assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program beginning Aug. 13 – September 4.

This sign-up is for farmers and ranchers who received farmland damages due to drought starting January 1.

The Emergency Conservation Program may help eligible farmers and ranchers supply emergency water for livestock, including confined livestock and poultry, and also supply emergency water for existing irrigation systems serving orchards and vineyards.
