A ballroom and swing dance, sponsored jointly by the Birmingham Ballroom Dance Association, Birmingham Swing Dancers and the Hoover New Horizons, will be held Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. at the Hoover Senior Center. The event will be preceded by Fox Trot and Swing lessons at 7:15 p.m. for $10 per person. Music will be provided by the Ed Jones Orchestra. Suggested attire is dressy-casual.
