Funeral service for Virginia Bentley, age 83, of Columbiana, was at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 23 at Bolton Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Richard Kidd officiating and music by Mike Byars. Burial followed at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bentley, who passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 at a local nursing home, was born July 6, 1924 in Marvel.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Samuel Bentley.

She is survived by her daughters, Mable (Tom) Wynn and Gale (John) Farr; grandchildren, Bentley Farr, Tom (Tonda) Wynn II and Shelly (Gerry) Houseknecht; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Frank Wynn; sisters, Loleta Allen and Georgena Bentley; and a host of other family and friends.
