Volunteers needed to aid abused children
FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Shelby County will begin training volunteers in September.
CASA provides adults to go through the court process with abused children. To become a CASA there is a 40-hour training program one must complete over the course of five weeks.
Volunteers may be asked to complete tasks such as supervising visitation, writing a court report or attending court with the child.
