Funeral service for Marvie Payne, age 69, of Alabaster were at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed in Elliotsville Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Payne, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at a local hospital, was born June 10, 1938 in Shelby County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edward Payne.

She is survived by her children, Suzy (David) Allen, Cindy Payne, Gary (Judy) Payne; two adopted daughters, Elaine Duff and Deb Turnbloom; grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Allen, Corey and Jamie Payne; nephew, Jim McDaniel; and a host of other family and friends.
