Attorney elected to council board

CALERA – Afrika Parchman of Calera was elected to the Board of Director’s of the Alabama Council of School Board Attorneys at the council’s annual meeting in July. ACSBA is a component of the Alabama Association of School Boards, and members meet to discuss current education and legal issues and to share their knowledge of court rulings that impact local school boards.

Parchman, who works for Birmingham law firm Thomas, Means, Gillis & Seay, represents the Birmingham school board.
