Brigitte “Gigi” Quynh-Mai Tucker and Thomas “Tommy” Brett Rasmussen of Alabaster were married May 23, 2007, in Heflin at a private ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Tucker of Readyville, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burney Lee Tucker Jr. of Nashville, Tenn. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tham Levan of Saigon, Vietnam.

The groom is the son of Eric and Wanda Rasmussen of Pelham. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billie Joe Burnett of Alabaster and Mr. Paul Rasmussen and the late Mrs. Carol Rasmussen of Bear Lake, Mich.

The bride is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. The groom is a 2004 graduate of Pelham High School and also attended Vanderbilt University where the couple first met.

Gigi and Tommy are both enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and will be leaving for basic training at Parris Island, S.C. at the end of September
