Private 1st class Chase A. Bishop of Alabaster completed boot camp April 27, 2007, at Parris Island, S.C. After boot camp he reported to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C. where he completed Marine combat training and an engineering course.

Chase is the son of Bruce and Ann Bishop of Alabaster and the grandson of Reed and Barbara White of Shelby and Uneeda Bishop of Birmingham
