Chris Whitfield, age 18, of Harpersville, passed away on Sept. 16, 2007.

Everyone who knew Chris knows he was free-spirited like the eagle that surrounded him in his room that he decorated. He loved fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. His motto that he reminded us of when we tried to do our jobs as parents. “If you were to die tomorrow, would you have lived today?” He also believed you should wear what you already have because that’s who you are, and “my tennis shoes don’t hurt my feet.” So please consider thinking his way when you’re deciding what to wear.

Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6-9 p.m. in the Vincent Revival Center at 6121 Highway 85 in Vincent. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Vincent Revival Center, officiated by the Rev. Jason Allums. Chris was preceded in death by his sister Kristy Whitfield.
