Anne Faulk Kelly, age 72, of Montevallo, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in Birmingham.

She was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Selma. She graduated from Albert G. Parrish High School in Selma in 1953, and from Judson College in Marion in 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Smith Faulk Jr. and Anne Kirkland Faulk of Selma and Birmingham.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother and had a multitude of friends. She will be missed by all who admired her strong faith, zest for life, great sense of humor and very positive attitude. She was a dedicated Christian and spent her life serving her Lord. She taught a home Bible study for more than 15 years and attended Bible Baptist Church of Wilton.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Pat Kelly of Montevallo; her son Patrick (Ashley) Kelly; and grandchildren, Ben, Kate and Lauren Elizabeth of Nashville, Tenn. and mother, Charles (Debbie) Faulk of Moundville.

She taught at Montevallo High School and Shades Mountain Christian School in Hoover. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as a regent of the David Lindsay Chapter for several years.

The family takes this opportunity to express appreciation for the concern and affection displayed to her by friends, staff of the Shelby (Alabaster) Dialysis Center, Dr. Lawrence Hawley and Dr. Christopher Old, who were so kind and caring during her eight years as a dialysis patient.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, 11 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Wilton, and officiated by Brother Tom Hammett and Brother Dan Howard. Interment took place at the Montevallo Cemetery.
