Bomb threat causes school evacuation

PELHAM – Pelham High School was evacuated Friday morning in response to a bomb threat, according to a release issued by the city’s police department.
School staff received a phone call at 7:30 a.m. regarding a device inside the building. They then alerted police to the call.
Both the city police and fire departments responded and evacuated all students. Meanwhile, the police department’s K-9 unit searched the school for a potential bomb.
Students were returned after the sweep but the case is still being investigated, according to the release
