Funeral service for Beverly Joan Dietrich, age 72, of Calera, was held at noon, Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Wooten Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dietrich, who passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at her residence, was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Birmingham. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer J. Dietrich; son, David E. Strickland; parents, Bardy and Gracie Mae Isbell; brother, Jack Isbell; and sisters, Della and Charlotte Cork.

She is survived by her sons, Richard M. (Linda) Strickland, Jeffrey P. Strickland; stepchildren, Lynn (Robb) Aichs, Gary (Michelle) Dietrich, Mark (Wanda) Dietrich, Kevin (Judy) Dietrich; grandchildren, Tyler Strickland, Amy (Brian) Cook, Tindl (Michael) Rainey, David Strickland; great-grandchildren, Savannah Cook, Lance Rainey; siblings, Bobby G. (Connie) Isbell, Allene (Jim) Marquess, Clarissa (Ted) McCloud, Patricia (Donald) Talley; and many nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren; and a close friend, Betty Burnette.
