SPECIAL TO THE REPORTER

CHELSEA – Allstate agent Jim Anthony and his agency branch created an award to honor high school athletes called the “Good Hands Award.”

“In Chelsea, the entire community rallies around the high school football team each week,” said Anthony.

Each week the agency will present one Chelsea High School football player, cheerleader and band member with an award to recognize their contributions to their team’s success.

The winner of the award will be nominated by the coaches after the game each week.

The winners will be recognized at the school’s pre-game pep rally by their peers and the Anthony Agency will present them with dog-tag necklaces.

“We wanted a way to honor the outstanding players and cheerleaders that bring so much joy and excitement to our town, so we created the Allstate ‘Good Hands Award.’
