Graveside service for James D. Schrader, age 87, of Shelby, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial will follow at Shelby Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Schrader, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at a local hospital, was born June 26, 1920, in Shelby. He is preceded in death by his wife, Viola Mae Schrader, and a son, Douglas Schrader.

He is survived by his children, Johnnie (Bonnie) Schrader, Bobby (Vonda) Schrader, Sue (Thurman) Matherson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
