Blickenstaff joins U.S. Army

Ethan G. Blickenstaff has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year.

Blickenstaff enlisted for six years and will report to Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C., to complete basic military training Sept. 2007.

After graduating from basic training, the recruit will attend Avionics Mechanic Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Va.

He is the son of Glen and Suzanne Blickenstaff of Helena.

Blickenstaff received high school equivalency diploma in 2007 at Jefferson State Community College
