Funeral service for Chesteen Crumpton, age 87, of Alabaster, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Crumpton, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 11 at a local hospital, was born on March 8, 1920, in Jemison. Mr. Crumpton is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Crumpton.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel Crumpton; daughter, Billie (Irv) Zalcman; grandchildren, Kim, Brian and Andrew; brother, Gordon (Eula) Crumpton; sister, Kittye (Neal) Wyatt and a host of other family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home is directing
