Susan Dennis has been hired as the education director for the Shelby County Arts Council. A native of Huntsville, Dennis attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics and painting. While at Auburn, her pieces received several awards of excellence including the highest honor awarded to students, “A-Commended,” for her Senior Project completed in December 2004. Dennis went on to complete her master’s degree in art education at the University of Montevallo in 2006. Dennis resides in Homewood
