Robert “Bob” Earl Bozeman, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, after a battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 10, 1947, to Walter “Jack” Jackson Bozeman and Willo Dean Bozeman. He grew up in Shelby County and graduated in 1965 from Thompson High School. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving six years in the USAF from 1967-1973. After discharge, he remained in Ft. Walton Beach until his death. He was an active member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid pool player, loved and respected by his friends in his pool leagues. He was happiest when he was with his friends playing pool and achieved his dream of playing in Las Vegas in the APA Tournament in August 2006.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willo Dean Hooper Bozeman. He is survived by his father, Walter “Jack” Jackson Bozeman and stepmother, Ann Vaughn Bozeman of Alabaster; children, Randy Edward Bozeman (Michelle) and Jennifer Rebecca Bozeman Taribori, both of Ft. Walton Beach; grandchildren, Saxton Silvis, Raistlin Bozeman, Caitlin Taribori and Brandi Taribori; one great-grandchild, Bradford Silvis; siblings, Jimmy Ray Bozeman of Gadsden and Terry Wayne Bozeman of Alabaster; three nephews, Jason Bozeman, Michael Bozeman and Scott Elliott; two nieces, Allison Bozeman Simpson (Matt) and April Elliott; a great-niece, Mattie Grace Simpson, as well as many friends in Ft. Walton and Shelby County.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Michael Bozeman with Rockco’s Funeral Home of Montevallo directing. A memorial service will be held in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. at a later date. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers
