Mrs. Kimberly DeLamar May of Auburn announces the engagement of her daughter Elizabeth Odessa “Bess” May to Joshua Barganier Taylor of Calera, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy R. (Sandra) Taylor of Pelham.

The bride-elect is also the daughter the late Mr. Robert S. (Sam) May of Opelika and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Penn of Lanett, the late Mr. Rayford M. DeLamar Sr. of Opelika, Mrs. Mary Nell May and the late Mr. Archie L. May of Waverly.

She is a graduate of the University of Montevallo, where she was a member and president of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Laura Kelley Barganier and the late Mr. Edward Preston Barganier Sr., of Greenville, and Mrs. Doris Conway Taylor and the late Mr. J. Guy Taylor of Greenville.

He is a graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity.

A Nov. 17, 2007, wedding is planned for 4 p.m. in the 4-H Center Memorial Chapel in Columbiana
