Jimmy and Beverly Gardner married Nov. 2, 1957, in Meridian, Miss. will celebrate their 50th anniversary Nov. 3 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Westover. Their children Terry and Lori Gardner and Bobby and Tracy Pardue of Westover are hosting the event along with three grandchildren, Ashley Gardner Hill (Clayton), Travis Pardue and Jennifer Martens.

Beverly Gardner is the former Beverly Jean Young. She is a stay-at-home wife and mother.

Jimmy was a member of the Local 91 Plumbers and Steam Fitters for 25 years before retiring from the City of Mountain Brook as a building inspector
