JoAnn S. Carroll

JoAnn S. Carroll, age 69, of Cape Coral, Fla., passed away Oct. 31, 2007. Born July 28, 1938, in Howell, Michigan, Carroll was the daughter of Burnell and Nancy Fraser. She is a former long-time resident of Pelham and recent resident of Belleair Bluffs, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Bert, of 43 years; three children, Douglas Carroll and wife Beth of Belleair, Fla.; Lisa Norman and husband Scott of Panama City, Fla.; and Jeff Carroll and wife Sarah of Cape Coral, Fla.

She was known as “Grammie Jo” by her five wonderful grandchildren, Alexa, Hannah, Hilton, Britton and Summer. She is further survived by sister Nancy Lawlor, her husband Skip, their daughter Debbie Worth, her husband Mike, and daughter Amanda.

JoAnn enjoyed working in her flower gardens and toward the beautification of her community. She was instrumental in starting the Garden club of Chandalar South in Pelham. She was active in Pelham on the Beautification Board, Christmas Lights and Decorations and an avid and active Republican.

A family memorial service is being held at Anona United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 4. A seaside gathering at Indian Rocks Beach will follow.

In JoAnn’s memory, the family suggest planting flowers in memory of her. Any donations might also be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF)
