Funeral service for Thomas K. Roberts, age 92, of Hoover, was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Reid Crotty officiating. Burial will follow at Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation was prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberts, who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at his home, was born on Aug. 6, 1915, in Columbiana. He retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company as 2nd Vice President Mortgage Loans. He was a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by wives, Stella Sloan Roberts Stark and Patricia Henley Roberts; and a stepson, Larry Henley. The family extends a special thank you to all his caregivers, Wiregrass Hospice, and New Beacon Hospice.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Roberts; a son, Rev. Thomas Keener (Jean) Roberts, Jr.; a daughter, Helen Earle (Richard) Jones; step-sons, Crawford Henley, Brian Henley, and Carson Henley; and Tim Darnell; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
