Rogers enters Army through delay program

Wakley T. Rogers recently joined the United States Army under the Delayed

Entry Program. This allows Rogers to delay active duty for up to one year.

Rogers will also get the chance to learn a new skill and become eligible to receive as much as $50,000 toward a college education.

Rogers has reported to Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga., for basic training in October. He is the son of Wakley and Billie Rogers of Leeds
