Shelby Baptist wins AHPRMS awards

ALABASTER – Shelby Baptist Medical Center was recognized at the Alabama Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society’s (AHPRMS) annual awards banquet. The event was held Thursday evening, Nov. 8, at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores during the 2007 Fall Conference. The 2007 awards competition was open to all Alabama hospital and healthcare organizations for material produced or utilized during the 12-month period between June 2006 and June 2007. Gold and silver awards were presented in three divisions with 19 categories and sub-categories.

In Division II, for hospitals with 100-299 beds, Shelby Baptist received four Gold Awards in the categories of Total Advertising Campaign, Radio Advertising, Print Advertising and Direct Mail for its recent Women’s Center campaign. The campaign features babies with the messages: “We are so proud of our new addition” and “Have your baby close to home.”

The hospital also received silver awards in four categories: Television Advertising and Outdoor Advertising for the Women’s Center campaign; Ongoing Publications for the hospital’s internal newsletter; and in the Miscellaneous category for the Shelby Baptist Health Minute which airs during FOX 6-TV newscasts
