Emageon Inc., a developer for medical information technology systems for hospitals and health care networks, recently signed a multi-year contract with Novation LLC to supply Cardiovascular PACS products and services.

The agreement will be me more than two years, spanning from Feb. 1, 2008 to April 30, 2010 and includes two optional one-year extensions.

Emageon began its research at UAB in 2007 and now has its Birmingham office in Meadow Brook. Other offices are in Wisconsin and Canada
