Wachovia Foundation recently awarded a $100,000 grant to the Housing Fund of Central Alabama, which serves 12 counties including Shelby.

The grant will be awarded annually over two year of operation of the HFCA’s Non-Profit Incubator, according to the Wachovia Foundation. This is the third grant awarded by the Foundation for the Incubator, which is designed to help non-profits that have a mission to increase the supply of quality housing for low- to moderate-income families
