Barfield elected to national advisory council

HOOVER – Keith Barfield, CPA, a founding shareholder at Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith, PC, was elected to serve a 3-year term on the BDO Seidman Alliance Partners’ Advisory Council (APAC).

While serving on APAC, Barfield will provide operational and strategic assistance to the BDO Seidman Alliance with a goal of enhancing the value of the Alliance. He is one of two selected to serve from the Southeast on the 12-member council.

Requirements of being elected to APAC include significant business expertise and being actively involved in the Alliance. A nominee should also be in a position to speak for his or her firm in providing input, making decisions and committing resources.

Barfield is also a board member and accounting advisor of the American Subcontractors Association of Alabama, president of the Riverchase Business Association and serves as an officer on the Greater Shelby County Chamber Partnership.
