Lillie Bell Gentry Tennyson

Lillie Bell Gentry Tennyson, a resident of Pelham, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007. in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Tennyson was born in Alabama on June 21, 1921, the daughter to Mr. Alex French Viars and Mrs. Lillie Paralee Smitherman Viars.
Funeral services were held at Charter Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the burial in Pelham City Cemetery. Dr. J.D. Davis officiated. Visitation was held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Her first husband, Eugene “Bill” Gentry; second husband, Lonnie Tennyson; son, Roy Eugene Gentry; and grandson, Steven Bearden, precede her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Bearden of Pelham and Lynda Logan (Allen) of Alabaster; sons, Larry Gentry (Karen) and Ronald Gentry (Diane), all of Pelham; ten grandchildren; and twelve great- grandchildren.
