Ellie Cleckler Logan

Ellie Cleckler Logan, age 74, of Harpersville went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 29, 2007. She had suffered from lung disease for a number of years.

She retired because of her disease. She was a founding member of Coosa Valley Academy and had served for 13 years on the Board of Directors when she resigned.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Cleckler and Irona Headley Cleckler; a brother, Earl Cleckler; and two sisters, Dorothy C. B. Williams and Peggy J. Cleckler.

Mrs. Logan is survived by her loving husband, J. Thomas Logan; son, Charles (Debbie) Logan of Harpersville; daughters, Sandra (Sonny) Gibson of Harpersville and Donna (Ed) Casady of Satsuma; three grandchildren, Jay and Heather Gibson and Scott Logan, six adopted and loved no less grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Esther, Samuel, Lydia and Jacob Casady; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Bobbie Taylor of Childersburg and Ann Davis of Talladega; her brother, William Jerry Cleckler of Oxford; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. William Rayfield officiating. Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home. Burial was at Scott Bradford Logan Cemetery.

Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed
