Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Alan Thomas of Birmingham are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Karen Elaine to Daniel Robert Chandler of Huntsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. C. Wayland Gann and the late Mrs. Ann Higgins Gann, and Mrs. Ruth Templeton Thomas and the late Mr. Jimmy Morgan Thomas, all of Alexander City.

A 2001 graduate of Oak Mountain High School, Miss Thomas attended Jacksonville State University and graduated in

2005 with a bachelor of Science degree in marketing. She is

currently attending Florida Institute of Technology where she will receive a master of science degree in logistics management in the summer of 2008.

Miss Thomas is currently employed in Huntsville as a logistics management specialist for the Department of the Army.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Robert Chandler of Blakely, Ga. Mr. Chandler is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady E. Howell of Enterprise and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ray Chandler of Blakely, Ga.

A 1996 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy, Mr. Chandler graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology after earning a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 2001 and a master of science degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2002. Mr. Chandler

is currently employed in Huntsville as a mixed-signal design engineer at Adtran Inc.

The wedding is planned for March 22, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Madison, Ala
