Funeral service for Rhonda Stripling, age 57, of Calera, was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Vincent City Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stripling went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at a local nursing home, was born April 25, 1950.

She is preceded in death by her father, J.C. Goodwin.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Miller Brasher (Alton) of Chelsea; her stepmother, Louise Haisten (Wallace) of Childersburg; son, Kenneth Dewayne Goodwin of Childersburg; brother, Joey Goodwin (Judy) of Shelby; sisters, Kathy Carter (Jerry) of Calera, Patti Shaw (Tommy) of Columbiana, Tracy Gibson (Steve) of Vincent, Vanessa Whitfield (Randy) of Chelsea and Lynette Wilcox of Marietta, Ga.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
