There were some rare sights Saturday in Shelby County.

Snowmen and snow angels made appearances, dusty sleighs finally got some good use and snowball fights broke out in the streets.

Almost 1-2 inches of snow fell to the ground Saturday, just enough to blanket trees and lawns but not enough to cause any serious travel problems.
