Dorothy James of Calera is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Lynnkeesha Gilmore of Alabaster to Reginald Evans of Birmingham, son of Elder Douglas C. Evans Sr. and Teresa Evans of Birmingham.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dottie Gilmore and the late Rufus Gilmore of Montevallo. She graduated from Montevallo High School and attended Jefferson State Community College. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology and is employed with BlueCross and BlueShield of Alabama.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Overseer Jackie Williams and Elder Jeremiah Williams Sr. of Birmingham. He graduated from Homewood High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He also attended Devry and Dekalb College in Atlanta. He is employed with T-Mobile.

The wedding is planned for Feb. 9, 2008, in Birmingham.
