Anthony Clinton Jones

Anthony Clinton Jones of Alabaster went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at the age of 46.

He is survived by his loving wife Sherri; his children, Whitney Faith and Anthony Garrett; his parents, H. Clinton and Avis Jones; his sister, Lisa Ruggieri; and close family, Johnny and Sheila Stapleton, Tony and Darlene Stapleton, Michael and Lisa Stuart, Kevin and Kristi Turner, Billy and Lisa von Eberstein and many nieces and nephews.

He was a proud marine and served his country from 1981-1984.

A.J. was a general contractor for 23 years in the Birmingham area and was also an avid outdoorsman.

Spending his days in God’s creation was one of his greatest joys.

Whether he was coaching youth baseball, hunting for big game, or caring for his horses, A.J. truly loved all of life’s gifts.

The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 4, from 5-7 p.m. at Currie- Jefferson Funeral Home on Highway 150 in Hoover.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

Dr. Neil Knierim officiating.

Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Alabaster Building Fund. The family would like to thank all friends and relatives who have been supportive during this journey.
