Celebration Church, a new church in Helena, will begin worship services Sunday, March 2, 2008. This new Southern Baptist congregation will meet at Helena Intermediate School. Sunday School, called Celebration Groups, will begin at 9:15 a.m., with contemporary worship following at 10:30 a.m. A nursery will be provided beginning at 9 a.m.

“We are so excited to begin worshipping in the Helena community,” Pastor David Bradford said. “There is a huge need for new churches due to the growth in population in the area.”

He also stated, “Shelby County, in general, needs more churches. The addition of churches has not kept up with the explosive growth in our neighborhoods. The staggering truth is that, if every resident of Shelby County wanted to attend church next Sunday, there wouldn’t be enough seats in current churches to hold everybody.
