Billy Gene Jones, age 71, of Helena passed away Feb. 6, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Anthony Jones and Sarah Earline Jones, and brother, Jimmy W. Jones.

He is survived by his wife Alma Jean “Jeanie” Jones of 45 years; son, Mark (Toni) Jones, of Jemison; two precious granddaughters, Madison and Macy Jones of Montevallo. Other survivors include sister, Barbara (Willie) Dunn of Brierfield; like grandchildren, Robby and Jordan; and special friends, Kristin and Valerie.

Billy was employed with Abex and ABC Rail in Calera for 20 years before becoming disabled.

He was a member of Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Helena City Cemetery. Brother Ray Smith officiated. Rockco Funeral Home directed.
