Frances W. Cooper

Frances W. Cooper, age 71, of Stewartville, died in University of Alabama Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008.
Mrs. Cooper was born Aug. 7, 1936, and was a member of Bon Air Baptist Church where she enjoyed church activities. She participated in jail ministries at Coosa County Jail.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Lee Cooper; sister, Christene Acton; and her parents, Huey Simpson Weldon and Gladys Lee Weldon.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, the Rev. Ray Howard Cooper of Stewartville; son, Howard Kent Cooper and wife, Angel, of Weogufka; daughter, Jennifer Ray Cooper Whitman and husband, Joe, of Ashland; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral service was at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Hollins Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Dyess, the Rev. Jim Arnall and the Rev. Wayne Henderson officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Lond Cemetery in Sterrett. Visitation was Monday, Feb. 18, from 5-8 p.m. The body lied in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
Pallbearers were Joey Goodwin, Rodney Driggers, Jeff Goodwin, Mike Logan, Brad Logan, and David Cooper.
