Families of Calera National Guardsmen, currently deployed in Iraq, plan to hold yard sales from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Feb. 29 and March 1. The funds raised will go toward a homecoming ceremony for the soldiers in late spring. Anyone can make a monetary donation or participate by selling their own items and giving 50 percent of the profit to the event.
