Briarwood Christian head football coach Fred Yancey was recently selected to serve as head coach of the North All-Star team in the North-South All-Star game in Huntsville on July 18.

Joining Yancey on the staff will also be Calera head coach Mac Thompson.

Also leading an all-star team will be former Spain Park head coach John Grass, who will serve as Alabama head coach in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game in Mobile on Dec. 13. Joining his staff will be Spain Park assistant Matt Scott. Both Yancey and Grass led their teams to the state championship game in Class 5A and 6A, respectively
