RBC Centura Banks completed a 1.6 billion purchase of Alabama National Bancorp, the parent company of First American Bank Feb. 25.

First American, which has locations in Alabaster, Pelham and on U.S. Highway 280 in Meadowbrook, is one of 10 ANB subsidiaries in Alabama, Florida and Georgia acquired in the merger.

With the addition of ANB, RBC Centura now has more than 430 banking center locations and more than 5,000 employees throughout the Southeast
