Frank Wayne Hosey

Frank Wayne Hosey of Calera, born in Helena on Aug. 9, 1920, the son to Henry and Lula Jones Hosey, died March 6, 2008, at the age of 87.

He retired after 37 years from L & N CSX Railroad. He founded Hosey Roofing Company in 1940 that is still family owned and operated by his sons.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Burial was in Shelby Memory Gardens. The Reverend David Deter officiated. Visitation was Saturday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

His daughter, Norma Faye Ford, precedes Mr. Hosey in death.

Survivors of Mr. Hosey include his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Sarah Alice Hosey; sons, Terry Hosey (Gail) of Georgia and Jim Hosey of Calera; daughters, Barbara Judge (Peter) of Australia; and Vickie Smith (Ken) of Florida; and brother, John Reid Hosey (Dorothy) of Leeds; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
